Water Therapies
SANITAS PER AQUA
(HEALTH THROUGH WATER)
Please enjoy our complimentary WATER THERAPIES.
An infrared sauna utilizes heaters that emit infrared radiant heat. Infrared waves are a part of the light spectrum that is invisible to the naked eye. An infrared sauna is designed to penetrate and heat up the body through a process called conversion. Instead of just heating the air around you like a traditional sauna, the infrared waves heat the body directly.
The temperature in an infrared sauna is much cooler at around 110-130 °F compared to a traditional sauna where the temperature can reach between 169-199 °F. The lower temperature allows the user to stay inside for a longer session, resulting in more perspiration.
Apart from offering a place to relax and unwind, saunas provide several health benefits such as increasing metabolism, which in turn helps promote weight loss. Since the skin is the largest organ of elimination, regular visits to a sauna and steam room can help decrease the body’s toxic load and contribute to better health and vitality. Saunas also help improve the immune system as well as aid in the correction of sleep disorders.
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USING WATER THERAPIES FOR MAXIMUM BENEFIT:
- BEGIN WITH A SHOWER TO REMOVE PERFUMES OR SCENTED LOTIONS WHICH CAN IRRITATE THE SKIN.
- DRY OFF, WRAP A TOWEL AROUND YOU, AND ENTER THE INFRARED SAUNA FOR 10 MINUTES.
- TAKE A QUICK COLD SHOWER.
- ENTER THE STEAM ROOM WHILE YOUR BODY IS STILL WET FOR 5-10 MINUTES. PLACE A COLD WASH CLOTH ON YOUR FOREHEAD OR NECK.
- AFTERWARD, PLEASE GO UPSTAIRS TO OUR RELAXATION LOUNGE WHERE YOUR THERAPIST WILL MEET YOU.
- DRINK PLENTY OF WATER AT ROOM TEMPERATURE.
